We are a CATS, Computer Assisted Testing Service (CATS) Center and can administer the computer-based examinations certification testing. With immediate results, no waiting to find out if you passed.
The school has available a designated pilot FAA examiner. So you can receive the practical test with little or no delay. You will go through stage and final stage checks to confirm that you meet the FAA Standards and can understand the FAA Standard are though the our Chief Instructor.

City of Redlands, as of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 63,591. The city is located 10 miles (16 km) east of downtown San Bernardino.
Redlands is located within driving distance of the Beach, Mountains, and Desert. So in your training you will get a lot of flying over very different landscapes.
Aero Tech Academy is located at Redlands Municipal Airport (REI), a Class “G” airport.
Redlands is an un-controlled airport which means you will learn to fly without the additional distraction of ATC. This is generally good for student pilots just beginning their training. Of course after progressing in their flight training, you will learn to deal with ATC since San Bernardino Airport (SBD), 3 miless west does have an operation ATC Tower.
Receiving your training here will develop your radio communication skills and instill confidence, which will help you deal with any air traffic control situation in the world.

Aero Tech Academy is approved through the Federal Aviation Administration and holds Pilot School Certificate Number - 2AZS030L. We are also approved through the Veterans Administration to accept VA Students, as well as the Department of Justice for Immigration.
Aero Tech Academy was first established in 1978 to provide quality flight training for students desiring to exercise Private Pilot and Commercial Pilot privileges. And over the years we have provide training to a great many Flight Instructors as well. We pride ourselves on trying to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for our students. ATA also provides cost-effective rentals of meticulously maintained airplane and helicopters. Aero Tech Academy has chosen to use the (Airplane) Cessna C152, Piper PA28 Archer, Beech BE76 Duchess , (Helicopter) Robinson R22, Robinson R44, Bell206, AS355, A109E for flight training throughout our entire curriculum because of their excellent handling qualities and responsiveness.
